The Brooklyn Love Exchange (Iviva Olenick): Collecting stories from friends, acquaintances and strangers, I am mapping love in the borough of Brooklyn through the Brooklyn Love Exchange. I use people's tales of romance to create embroideries. This project is an extension of my Were I So Besotted project, where I muse about my experiences along the path to finding a fulfilling, life-lasting relationship, http://wereisobesotted.blogspot.com. The embroideries I post here will be part of an exhibit at Muriel Guepin Gallery in Fall 2011. Please get in touch here if you'd like to share your Brooklyn love story. Finally, a big thanks to the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, administered by the Brooklyn Arts Council, for sponsoring this project.
